My name is Chris, I'm a Product Designer currently based in the greater Los Angeles area. I was born and raised in Silicon Valley, so for 25 years of my life I was surrounded by young optimists pushing to make their mark on the world. You wouldn't be wrong to think a little bit of that entrepreneurial spirit rubbed off on me!

Marketing

Good marketing makes the company look smart. Great marketing makes the consumer feel smart. It is important to make the client feel like they are making the correct decision. This guarantees their praise when speaking about the product to peers. Organic reach is always the best marketing because it’s free!

What I learned from

Sales

People buy emotions, not logic. Products are chosen based on how they make people feel. This is why high emotional intelligence is the hallmark of any great salesman. Often, novice salesmen will initiate interactions with stat after stat. The correct action to take would be to first collect information and understand your client.

Future

Of course, no one's future is guaranteed, especially mine, as I consider myself an open-minded individual. However, I am currently focused on becoming a creative problem solver who plays a significant role in product development, envisioning myself leading teams to deliver the most compelling and engaging products.

How I discovered

UX Design

I conducted extensive competitor and user research, and created wireframes for an app idea I had with my friends before knowing what 'UX Design' even was. It was an instinctual process in my mind. It was when I Googled 'how to develop an app,' I learned about UX design, and from that moment, I fell in love with the industry.
